STRENGTH

Staying strong.

The Fried Frailty Phenotype is a useful tool which identifies strength as one of the five traits of frailty. (click here for more info on the Fried Frailty Phenotype).
As we age, our muscles gradually lose their strength and mass too. This age related process is known medically as sarcopenia. Some experts have suggested that everybody should be screened for frailty at the age of 70 but sarcopenia seems to begin to take effect long before that, maybe as early as your 40s, almost certainly in your 50s.
